Getting started
To enroll, use the contact page to submit a request for an enrollment form. You may also email us directly at mainefreedomacademy@gmail.com.
Once you are enrolled, do not file a Letter of Intent with your local school district. We handle all required notifications as your school of record.
Enrolled families have access to the Family Portal for progress tracking, document access, and report submissions.
What is expected of enrolled families
Freedom Academy does not mandate a specific curriculum or teaching method. Families are responsible for providing an equivalent education at home in accordance with Maine law. We ask families to:
- Submit quarterly progress reports through the Family Portal
- Submit a year-end annual report at the close of each school year
- Notify us of any changes to enrollment status
- Keep records sufficient to document your child’s educational progress
We are happy to help you understand what constitutes adequate records and how to write effective progress reports.
Do we serve families outside Maine?
Freedom Academy is a Maine private school operating under Maine state law. Our enrollment model is designed for families residing in Maine.
If you live outside Maine and are interested in enrolling, contact us to discuss your situation. Requirements and options vary by state.
Transcripts and diplomas
Freedom Academy issues official transcripts and diplomas for high school students. These documents can be used for college applications, employment, and dual enrollment programs.
Diploma orders are submitted through the Forms & Reports page.
